Tulare Federal is now offering debit and credit cards with EMV chip technology. The embedded computer EMV chip provides more security and wider international acceptance.

A microchip embedded in the card adds a new layer of protection against fraud for purchases made at the point of sale. Information programmed into the EMV chip is personalized for your account and each transaction generates a unique code, adding an extra safeguard against unauthorized use and counterfeiting.

These cards are already in wide use around the world and are now becoming the standard in the U.S.

All debit EMV chip cards were replaced early October and credit EMV chip cards will be replaced early February. To ensure your additional protection offered by the new EMV chip, be sure to activate for use and destroy your old cards.

You'll automatically receive your new EMV chip cards in the mail. If you did not receive a chip cards in the mail, please make sure to contact us.
